The Center of Advance Modeling of Science (CADMOS) is opening a call for applications for collaborative projects between the institutions involved in CADMOS
(i.e. UNIGE, UNIL, EPFL).
Any research groups from these institutions can propose interdisciplinary projects bridging different domains of science that involve a strong high performance computing aspect and/or modeling of complex systems.
The projects selected must be a collaboration between at least two of the three institutions involved in CADMOS. Additional external partners can be involved as well. There is no need to have existing links to CADMOS to apply.
Funding can be requested for either 1 year of postdoctoral fellow or 2 years of PhD student based on the salary proposed by the SNF. Access to the computational resources of CADMOS can also be requested and application support for the project can be proposed.
The applicants should send of first letter of intention to the CADMOS committee by March 18th 2018. A second submission of a project of 5 pages will have to be sent by April 29th 2018 including - a clear description of the scientific value of the project - a description of the needs in terms of HPC - a financial plan indicating the context within which the project is developed - potential matching funds available.
The projects will be selected by the CADMOS committee and the decision will be given by end of May 2018.
